HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Hello West Hills Primary!
I hope that you all are enjoying your time at home with your families!  While you are at home, keep in mind that your health and wellness are still extremely important.  You need to limit your time sitting and get up to move around.  Mr. Walters loves the weather this time of year and I know a lot of you do as well.  Get outside when it's nice.  Build a snowman, go sled riding, or take a walk.  My favorite activity is taking my dog hiking in the woods near my home.  Tybee and I both benefit from the exercise and we have so much fun out there in the snow!  There are many activities that you and your family can do together!  Taking some time to clean your room helps you stay organized.  Acts as simple as putting your toys away when you are done, making your bed, or putting your dirty clothes away to be cleaned are ways that will help you stay organized.  It is also important while staying active to make sure we stretch our muscles.  Stretching creates more flexibility in your muscles and helps to prevent some injuries.  It is also extremely healthy.  It is very easy and does not take up much time.  I know that Mr. Claypoole and Mr. Petras have been working on stretching with you.  If you need any extra help you can always ask! 
I will always be here for each and every one of you even while you are at home!  Continue to log on with your teachers, complete your assignments, and participate just like you would if you were with us at West Hills Primary.  You all can and will do great things!
