Parent Ideas for Reading At-Home
Below are some "tips" you can use to talk to your child at home about their reading.
1.What to say to encourage your child to try to read a word on their own...
2. Questions to ask before, during, and after reading a story...
3. Ideas to try to help your child read smoothly...
4. How to make reading fun...
Click on any article below for more ideas!
Remember...It's okay to read a word to your child if they do not have the word skills yet to read it on their own, or take breaks between work, or even set a timer for a few minutes to read a story then take a break.  If you need more ideas or tips to help, please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Tommasini, Mrs. Transue, or Ms. Balsone!
