About Me

Hello!  My name is Amy Tommasini.  I am one of the Title I Reading Specialists at West Hills Primary, servicing Kindergarten through 3rd grade.  This is my 8th year teaching at West Hills Primary.  I started my teaching career in Central PA teaching in the First Grade classroom for 2 years before switching to a Reading Specialist position for the rest of my experiences.  I have now been a Title I Reading Specialist for various grades for 13 years. 

 

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and a Master of Education Degree in Reading (K-12), with a Reading Specialist certification from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.  I love to read myself and enjoy my job working with students to help support them with their reading skills and encourage a positive view and love for reading!  

 

My husband and I have one daughter, who is starting pre-school this year (yikes!), and 2 energetic dogs name Bruno and Mazy.  We love being outside - hiking, biking, gardening, etc.  We also love to travel and see new places.
